Katy Fenley has been bellydancing since 1999. Born and raised in rural East Texas , Katy has always been involved in the arts in some way. When she moved to Dallas/Fort Worth in 1996, she played the local music scene as a talented musician and singer. Although music will always be her first love, she is now pursuing her passion for the arts through dance and her many other creative talents.

Her love affair with Middle Eastern Dance began shortly after the birth of her first son in 1999. She was hooked after her very first session of classes. About two years later, Katy had another son and shortly after was asked to become a principle dancer in what was then Texas' first and only ATS troupe, The Desert Dancers. After The Desert Dancers disbanded a short time later, she along with two of the other remaining members of the D.D., and a handful of other talented and enthusiastic ladies formed Tribal Evolution.

Katy continued to study and perform with Tribal Evolution over the next couple of years, but as luck would have it, she was contacted by Cynthia Todd of Tribal Feat, who was moving to Texas. The two instantly connected and formed a dance partnership. This very successful troupe traveled to teach and perform in some very interesting locations until Cynthia's job moved her back to California in the fall of 2005.

Katy and the remaining member, Heather Wolfe formed the duo known as Liquid Hips. After dancing together for several months, fate would add a third dancer to Liquid Hips as Brandi, from the troupe Devadasi, and her family moved to Texas. The now trio, Liquid Hips, continued to dance together for the next year and a half. Now as one half of Bella Natana, Katy continues to explore and study this beautiful art form.
